Domain Trainee- Investment Accounting

- Implements appropriate regulatory and GAAP accounting treatment for investments and related accounts. Accounts, analyzes, reports, and presents assets held for investment which may include foreign investments, mortgage loans, limited partnerships, cash equivalents, investment income, securities lending, reverse repos, repos, equities, Bonds, Derivatives, Yield check and other investment related information._
- Responsibilities_
- Maintain adherence to corporate, accounting and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in the timely and accurate processing of Investments, Cash Management and Subsidiary financials_
- _Investment accounting & reporting for insurance entities in scope_
- _Performs accounting functions, and maintains and prepares month-end, quarter-end, and annual reports (GAAP & STAT) for assigned asset and investment accounting areas_
- _Preparation of Investment Balance sheet and Cash reconciliations for Investment accounting entities_
- _Posting of Manual Journals for investment products such as equities, Bonds, derivatives_
- _Impairment processing as per US and European GAAP_
- _Working on complex derivative instruments, netting_
- _Monthly/Quarterly/Annual reporting
- Statutory and Regulatory_
- _Working on tools like SAP, Bloomberg, Business objects (BO) etc._
- _All deliverables to be met at 100% SLA (both quality and timeliness)
- SLA Governance_
- _Ensure 100% compliance and deadlines_
- _Responsible for maintaining and reviewing reconciliations and investment accounting information flows with all entities_
- _Journal entries for Investment purchase, sale, cash management, valuation, and accruals_
- _Monthly accruals for interest, market value and premium/discount amortization_
- Qualifications we seek in you_
- Minimum qualifications_
- _Master's degree in accounting/finance or equivalent related work experience_
- _MBA (Master of Business Administration) Finance or CPA or CA_
- Preferred qualifications_
- _Experience in Investment Accounting_
- _CA freshers/ relevant work experience_
