Job Title: Exim Operator - Logistics

Location: Visakhapatnam

Reports To: Logistics/Exim Manager

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

Export-Import Documentation:
Prepare, review, and manage all required documentation for import and export shipments, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.

Customs Compliance:
Ensure compliance with international customs regulations, manage customs clearances, and liaise with customs officials and freight forwarders to prevent delays and avoid penalties.

Shipment Coordination:
Coordinate with suppliers, shippers, and transporters for scheduling and tracking shipments, and manage timely delivery and receipt of goods.

Vendor and Stakeholder Communication:
Communicate effectively with freight forwarders, customs brokers, transport agencies, and other stakeholders to resolve any logístical issues promptly.

Inventory and Warehouse Management:
Monitor inventory levels, track incoming and outgoing shipments, and work closely with warehouse teams to ensure accurate stock levels.

Data Entry and Record Keeping:
Accurately maintain records of all shipments, transactions, and customs-related activities within internal systems and databases.

Freight Rate Negotiation:
Negotiate shipping rates with carriers and forwarders to secure cost-effective transport solutions, keeping budget constraints in mind.

Compliance and Risk Management:
Stay updated with changes in international trade regulations and customs laws to mitigate risk and ensure compliance in all logistics operations.

Reporting:
Generate regular reports on shipping statuses, costs, and potential issues to keep the management informed.

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Trade, or related field.

Proven experience in export-import logistics, ideally in a similar role.

Familiarity with customs procedures, export-import documentation, and compliance requirements.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Proficiency in MS Office, ERP software, and logistics management systems.

Knowledge of import-export laws, tariff schedules, and international trade agreements is a plus.

Pay: ₹9,167.52 - ₹25,932.82 per month
