- Should be having working experience of operating the press of capacity more than 2000T
- Should have general understanding of all functions of press operation including in depth knowledge of various components and systems of hydraulic press and manipulator.
- Should be aware of all key aspects of safe press operation and proper work management system in the press area
- Should have good understanding of all operations of open die forging and should be well versed with Dies and tools used in open die forging
- Should be aware of function of bogie hearth type furnace and its operation
- Should be aware of material handling equipment and other tools and tackles, used in a heavy forge shop
- Should have basic understanding of engineering drawing, process documents and should be able to communicate with workman regarding the process/ job handling
- Should have some exposure to ISO/TPM
