Solution Architect

Ford is experiencing significant growth as our business and products become digital. Enterprise Architecture team is leading several initiatives in improving digital consumer experience by launching products with emerging technologies.

Enterprise Architecture (EA) shapes Ford’s Digital Business Strategy through strategic roadmaps and innovative technical solutions by leveraging our expertise and industry perspective across the enterprise.

Solution Architecture knowledge helps define and describe the future state of an enterprise’s business processes, technology, and information to best support the business strategy. The core area to support is eCommerce and Digital Marketing

The work is global in scope which will give the opportunity to collaborate with business partners, architects, product owners, product managers, and product designers around the world. As well provides avenue to develop working relationships with OCIO, product teams, skill team and management. The assignment will be challenging and rewarding.

**Must Have Skills**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field of study
- 8-10 years of software development/engineering experience
- Very strong knowledge with cloud infrastructure environment, J2EE technologies (Spring Boot, Spring framework) and front-end technologies (React/Angular/Next.js/Node)
- Strong knowledge of Rest API, API security, OAuth, SSO, microservices and Microfront architecture and implementation
- Strong knowledge and experience in using API tools like Postman, swagger, etc.
- Expertise with Cloud Technologies (GCP preferred)
- Experience in Swagger for REST API documentation
- Experience with various aspects of software development, including mobile app development
- Experience and knowledge of event streaming, and cache management
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to upskill and learn new technologies and processes
- Negotiation skills and ability to work with several and diverse set of stakeholders/customers
- Identifies the right technology element by probing into existing components or recommending a new platform for a business landscape
- Leverage tech standards to solve problems with new and existing solutions while demonstrating passion for emerging technology capabilities
- Creates and owns the High level and low-level technical designs elements of the projects
- Interprets business user functional and non-functional requirements (e.g. performance, security) to develop system specifications in close cooperation with business analysts and business customers
- Strong knowledge on Visio, Miro and other Project Technical Artifact creation tools and diagrams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage changing priorities
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in multiple projects simultaneously

**Preferred Skills**:

- Experience working with teams in an agile environment
- Experience in trouble shooting complex systems and performance testing and tuning
- Infrastructure architecture knowledge
- TOGAF or other architecture framework certified

**Position description:
**Solution Architect responsible for providing solutions for digital consumer experience and eCommerce initiatives through emerging technology.

Need to provide technical leadership for large scale development program, works on new architecture solutions and support for the ongoing ecommerce program
- Leads architecture for new global eCommerce features.
- Responsible for understanding business requirements and defining technical architecture-based solutions that align to Ford Motor Company’s Patterns and Standards.
- Participate on emerging tech trends analysis and provide emerging trends review
- Utilize Design Thinking while working with Product teams to define, assemble and integrate components based on Ford standards and business requirements (examples: hardware, software, availability, scalability and reliability)
