To carry out mechanical maintenance to all areas of the factory, keeping equipment running at optimum efficiency with minimum costs. Undertake maintenance that minimizes downtime & follow up to prevent reoccurrence.
- He must have 5 to 10 years of hard core maintenance experience in process industry and good knowledge of pumps, valves, bearings, conveyer belt, gear boxes, lubricant used in bearing and pump, gear box, vacuum pumps, alignment setting, compressors & components and its maintenance, reasons for bearing failure etc.
- He must have knowledge of preventive maintenance, benefits of preventive maintenance and various types of predictive maintenance methodologies.
- Responsible for completing assigned planned/scheduled Maintenance Tasks and unplanned/reactive/corrective activities to maintain the function and reliability of assigned assets efficiently and effectively
- Carry out assigned scheduled maintenance tasks in a safe, food safe and environmentally safe way and to the expected quality
- Work with operations team to address urgent equipment defects and act on opportunity windows
- Support ongoing reliability improvements for equipment and participate in Problem Solving Exercises as required
- Provide accurate and timely feedback and completion of assigned work orders with all required information
- Raise Notifications for identified corrective work requirements; Confirms time and TECOs work orders

- Planned/Unplanned Maintenance Tasks

**1.Planned maintenance**:

- Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements. Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using careful measuring and testing instruments
- report using CMMS package (SAP)
- Responsible for shift mechanical maintenance work.
- Carry out follow up work (visual and PM checks) as scheduled on CMMS (SAP).
- Carry out lubrication to plant as schedule
- Carry out routine adjustments to prolong equipment life
- Fabricates (welding) repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
- Communicate with operators to establish early equipment failure.
- Maintains equipment, parts, and inventories, anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing work order in SAP.
- Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Carry out predictive maintenance activities like vibration monitoring etc. on moving mechanical parts like gearboxes, bearings etc.
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance.
- Recommend shift area leader on mechanical machinery condition inspection points as part of start-up activities during new projects.
- Assist external vendors during service.
- Inspection of new received mechanical parts in engineering store.

**2.Breakdown maintenance**:

- Attend all breakdowns and undertake repairs as required. Trouble shooting should be fast and effective
- Feedback to area leader/ executive for any follow-up required and help in identification of the root cause of the problems
- Maintains equipment, parts, and inventories, anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing work order in SAP.
- Recommend materials to be absorbed in stores inventory.
- Check quality of delivered mechanical spares required to complete maintenance in time
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, device, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
- Assist shift area leader in standardization and / or localization of spares and equipment.

**3.Engineering Improvements**- Propose improvements to increase efficiencies/ improve safety standards or assist production
- Carry out approved improvements
- Be part of start-up teams in engineering projects as required

**4. Safety**
- Undertake all maintenance tasks with appropriate PPE & procedures
- Adhere to safe working practices such as working at height regulations like all equipment / motor guards are fitted securely
- Ensure equipment is correctly isolated (LOTO procedures) when maintenance is carried out
- All floors are kept dry to minimize slips
- Identify & report any unsafe working conditions/ machine faults
- Propose plant improvements in terms of safety and carry out the same once approved
- Carry out regular safety inspections of working areas

**5. General Maintenance**
- Keep mec
