**Description**
- Providing round-the-clock care to premature and severely ill newborn infants.
- Caring for the basic needs of infants; for example, feeding and changing diapers.
- Performing medical procedures; for example, inserting intravenous lines, performing tests, and administering medications.
- Patient Care Activities E.G. Recording of Vitals, Care of Un Conscious Patient, Central Line Care, Catheter Care, Tracheostomy Care, Body Sponging, Ventilator Care, Assisting Various Procedures to Doctors Depending On Area of Posting, Dressings, Oxygen Administration, Tube Feeding.
- Assist the NICU physicians in medical procedures and treatments.
- Use and adjust specialized medical equipment.
- Formulate nursing plans and evaluate the effectiveness of treatments
- Comfort sick newborns and anxious parents and family members.
- Offer support to parents and educate them on the at-home care of their newborn
- Equipment Management: Daily Check of Bed Side Equipment, Indenting in Case of Any Defect
- Medication Administration: Right Dose, Right Patient, Right Medicine, Right Dilution Right Time Etc. Checking Expiry of Medicines and Consumables and Return as Per Hospital Policy, Maintaining Inventory of Drugs Specially Narcotics, Labeling Requirements To Be Complied.
- BMW Segregation and Disposal as Per Guidelines.
- Administrative Work: Maintenance of All Documents, Consent Forms, Pac List to Be Filled, Nursing Assessments and Reassessments, Nursing Care Plan. Proper Handing Over And Taking Over of Charge of Patient, Taking Part In Discharge Process And Refund of Medicines.
