**Role Description**
Oracle Database Administrators (Oracle DBAs), develop, implement, and maintain a company’s Oracle database. Oracle is the most popular Enterprise IT database management system for small to medium-sized businesses. Oracle DBAs are tasked with implementing structured policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and security of the entire database.

**Key Responsibilities**
**_ (Functional)_**
- Installations and configuration of Oracle Databases on various flavors of UNIX, LINUX and Windows environments in standalone, RAC environment, Standby/Data guard databases.
- User / Schema Creation, User Management, granting Roles and Privileges and creating profiles.
- Creating storage database structures with high-level security features Altering storage structures to meet the evolving needs of the company.
- Setting up database user accounts
- Altering storage structures to meet the evolving needs of the company.

- Finding and debugging malfunctioning programs affecting the database integrity
- Regularly updating the database security protocols
- Data base optimization and enhancement of performance

- Understand complex problem solving techniques dealing with systems engineering and support
- Keep the Leads informed of task accomplishment, issues and status. taking ownership of issue's

- Resolutions of tickets with no escalation : 99%
- Data Base uptime : 100%
- Problem Management of recurring issue's : 100%
- Maintaining Records of the service for compliance : 100%
- Should have strong knowledge on Database Upgrade, Migration, Patch Installation and Implementation.
- Strong knowledge on schema and tables refresh by using datapump, and different methods in datapump. Cloning of Production Instance to UAT/Dev.
- Strong Knowledge on RMAN Backup & recovery management and troubleshooting the backup issues.
- Should have knowledge on sql query tuning and troubleshooting long running queries. Basic Shell scripting.
- Familiarity with Oracle database design, coding, and documentation
- Knowledge of programming languages and API.
- Ability to visualize algorithmic structures
