Job Title: PGT History Teacher

Location: Shastri Nagar, Ghaziabad

Salary Range: ₹35,001 - ₹40,000 per month

Experience Required: 2-5 years

Qualifications: B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) with a Master’s degree in History or a related field

Job Summary:
The PGT History Teacher will teach history to senior secondary students (grades 11 and 12), covering ancient, medieval, and modern history topics in accordance with the board curriculum. The role includes planning and delivering engaging lessons, preparing students for exams, and fostering a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and respect for historical perspectives.

Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Delivery:
Design and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards, covering significant historical periods, events, and figures.

Use varied teaching methods such as storytelling, discussions, and visual aids to make historical events relatable and interesting.

Provide resources and organize review sessions to help students prepare effectively for board exams.

Classroom Management:
Create a disciplined, inclusive, and interactive classroom environment that supports learning and development.

Encourage students’ participation in discussions, critical analysis of historical events, and group activities.

Maintain classroom decorum while fostering a respectful and safe learning atmosphere.

Student Assessment and Feedback:
Design tests, quizzes, assignments, and projects to assess student knowledge and analytical skills.

Offer constructive feedback on assignments and tests to help students improve academically.

Track student performance, attendance, and progress, maintaining accurate records.

Student Guidance and Mentorship:
Guide students in developing a deep interest in history, connecting historical events with current global issues.

Mentor students interested in history-related fields or those participating in history-related extracurricular activities.

Support students in honing their critical thinking, research, and analytical skills.

Parental Communication:
Regularly communicate with parents about students’ progress, achievements, and areas where additional support is needed.

Participate in parent-teacher meetings to discuss academic performance, classroom activities, and curriculum goals.

Professional Development and Collaboration:
Engage in professional development through training sessions, workshops, and educational seminars.

Collaborate with other teachers in social studies or interdisciplinary projects to create a well-rounded educational experience for students.

Contribute to school events, workshops, and history-focused extracurricular activities.
