What will be some of your responsibilities?
- Legal Compliance: Stay informed and implement environmental laws and regulations, including local, national, and international standards.
- Policy Development: Develop and recommend environmental policies and strategies aligned with regulatory frameworks.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate environmental risks, both internally and externally.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Advocate for environmental issues, engage with regulatory agencies and other stakeholders, and build relationships with partners.
- Contract Review: Review contracts and agreements to identify environmental liabilities and ensure compliance.- Policy Analysis: Analyze environmental policies and regulations, providing insights for shaping organizational strategies.
- Research and Monitoring: Stay updated on emerging environmental legislation and trends.
- Advocacy: Advocate for environmental protection and sustainable practices within the organization and externally.
- Documentation: Prepare legal and policy documents, briefing materials, and educational materials.
- Policy Analysis: Analyze environmental policies and regulations, providing insights for shaping organizational strategies.
- Research and Monitoring: Stay updated on emerging environmental legislation and trends.
- Advocacy: Advocate for environmental protection and sustainable practices within the organization and externally.Documentation: Prepare legal and policy documents, briefing materials, and educational materials.
Skills and Qualifications: Legal Knowledge: Strong understanding of environmental law and regulations.Policy Development: Experience in developing and implementing environmental policies and programs.
Regulatory Compliance: Ability to ensure compliance with various environmental regulations.
Communication: Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal, to convey complex information effectively.
Negotiation and Advocacy: Ability to negotiate with regulatory agencies and advocate for environmental policies.
Analysis: Ability to analyze data, legal documents, and policy proposals.
- Research: Ability to conduct research on environmental issues and emerging trends.
- Qualification:
PG in Environmental Policy, international policy, public policy, etc., with a legal background.
