Interior Designer

Bachelor's degree in interior design or related field.
- Min 1 year experience in real time projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Illustrator, SketchUp, 3D MAX or similar design software.

- Good communication and presentation skills.

Job Summary

Interior Designer with strong fundamentals on materials, hardware & integration

Be based at the office as well as contractual on-site project locations.

Develop a detailed interior solution with schematic, estimates & milestone plan for contractual sign-off.

Responsibilities and Duties

Generate customized architectural & interior designs for various dwellings (apartments, villas, villaments, independent houses) at a dedicated client studio - retail format. Primarily for project-based; appointment based clients, as well as walk-ins.

Direct interaction with client to understand tastes and preferences, evolve complete solution offering based on stated requirements comprising handcrafted/imported/modular components.

Build proficiency in sourcing comprehensive catalog products for furniture placement / decor as part of the contracts.

Create mapping & scope based on As-Built vs Sales Plan available for pre-requisites in order to integrate lifestyle products / appliances / electrical / home automation / AV / HVAC / etc.

Generate BOQ for each contract / order and place back to back P O with vendor / manufacturers. Prepare Total Cost and time-frame estimation, generation of all necessary design drawings, views and working drawings. Understand and promote various allied products relevant to the solution

Interface with manufacturers / vendors of all input materials and facilitate procurement of requirements for execution of each interior decor/architectural contract as the case may be.

Total responsibility of coordination and facilitation of contract execution in tandem with all craftsmen, labor / material contractors at client site by issuing working drawings & instructions.

Report to undersigned on design stage and project status of each contract.

Communicate with Architects, Interior Decorators & Builders/Developers to promote the products & services of the FIRM.

Constantly update yourself on appliances, materials, technology and methodology relevant to the industry by visiting establishments/showrooms & product events / industry seminars/ exhibitions

Undertake a Study of various reference models /show-flats & villas in order to understand trends and constantly update/improve library of offering to clients

Specific Assignments: Evolve Typical Interior Scheme for Listed Projects; Evolution of Concept based Templates with Interior/Furniture Plan

Specific Scalability Assignment : Develop Block Schematic under assigned ARCHITECT associated with the FIRM for generating HOUSE PLAN/DESIGN

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

Flair for Interiors specifically turnkey visualization of residential schematic.

Formal qualification in Civil / Architecture / Interior Design

General / Other activities

Exhaustive Training on practical aspects

Materials survey at showrooms

Visits to reference sites
