Assistant Professor

Job Description:
The Law School at BEST Innovation University is seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our faculty as an Assistant Professor of Law with a focus on admissions and outreach programs. This position offers a unique opportunity for someone passionate about legal education to contribute not only to the academic mission of the institution but also to its broader community engagement and growth.

**Responsibilities**:
Teaching:
Develop and teach courses in the core curriculum of the law school, with a focus on areas of expertise and interest.

Engage students through innovative and effective teaching methods, fostering critical thinking and analytical skills.

Provide mentorship and guidance to students, both academically and professionally.

Admissions:
Collaborate with the admissions committee to develop and implement strategies for recruiting top-tier students.

Represent the law school at recruitment events, including open houses, college fairs, and informational sessions.

Outreach Programs:
Develop and implement outreach programs aimed at underrepresented communities to increase access to legal education.

Forge partnerships with local schools, community organizations, and other institutions to promote awareness of legal issues and the value of legal education.

Organize and participate in outreach events, such as legal clinics, mock trials, and workshops.

Scholarship and Research:
Conduct scholarly research and contribute to the academic discourse in the field of law through publications, presentations, and participation in conferences.

Stay informed about developments in the law and related disciplines, integrating relevant findings into teaching and outreach activities.

Service:
Serve on faculty committees and engage in institutional service activities to support the mission and goals of the law school.

Participate in professional organizations and networks to stay connected with peers and contribute to the advancement of legal education.

Qualifications:
B.A LLB, M.A LLB, B.Com LLB or equivalent degree from an accredited institution; an advanced degree (e.g., LL.M., S.J.D.) is preferred.

Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction(s) is desirable.

Prior teaching experience at the university level, preferably in law or a related field.

Strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in legal education and the legal profession.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, colleagues, and external stakeholders.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Proven organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines effectively.

**Salary**: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
