**Manual Tester / QA Engineer - Job Description**

**Role Overview**

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Test Planning & Design**: Analyze software requirements and create detailed test plans and test cases to ensure comprehensive coverage of functionalities.
- **Defect Identification & Reporting**: Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools like Jira or Bugzilla, providing detailed steps to reproduce and relevant information.
- **Regression Testing**: Perform regression testing to ensure that new code changes do not negatively impact existing functionality.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
- **Documentation & Reporting**: Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, test results, and any relevant testing artifacts, and provide regular updates on testing progress and outcomes.

**Required Skills & Qualifications**
- **Educational Background**: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- **Experience**: 2+ years of experience in manual software testing.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Proficiency in creating clear and comprehensive test cases.
- Familiarity with test case management and defect tracking tools like Jira, Bugzilla, TestRail, or HP ALM.
- Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation.
- Experience using tools like Postman or SoapUI for API testing.
- Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and mobile operating systems (iOS, Android).
- Ability to use browser developer tools for debugging
