Merchandiser

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate orders from sampling to final dispatch
- Act as the key point of contact between customers and production/supply chain teams
- Understand client requirements and ensure product specs, timelines, and quality are met
- Track and follow up on order progress, production status, and delivery schedules
- Prepare costing, quotations, and purchase orders
- Coordinate with quality control teams to ensure product standards
- Maintain detailed records and reports of samples, orders, inventory, and shipment
- Assist in developing new product ideas based on market trends and buyer feedback
- Attend factory visits and vendor meetings as needed

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Fashion, Business, or related field
- 1-5 years of relevant experience in merchandising or production coordination
- Strong communication skills in English and Tamil
- Good negotiation and vendor management abilities
- Willingness to travel locally as required

Preferred Skills
- Experience working with international buyers or export houses
- Familiarity with têxtile/home decor/gifting products (adjust per industry)
- Ability to multitask and work under deadlines
