Job Description: Audit Assistant

Location: Thanjavur

Years of Experience**:2-3 years**

Overview:
**Responsibilities**:

- Monitor and ensure accurate and up-to-date records in the accounting system.
- Carry out vouching of transactions and approve them as per policy.
- Ensure completion of bank reconciliations and other account reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
- Respond to inquiries from clients and vendors regarding invoices and payments.
- Assist clients with the filing of monthly and quarterly GST and TDS returns.
- Assist in Monthly Management Information System (MIS) preparation based on office and client requests.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Prior work experience in a Chartered Accountant's office will be preferred.

**Salary**: ₹200,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Tanjore, Tamil Nadu: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- GST filing: 1 year (required)
- TDS filing: 1 year (required)
- income tax filing: 1 year (required)
