Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 5+ years experience testing large scale systems and/or databases.
- 3+ years experience in debugging, diagnosing, and troubleshooting complex, production software issues.
- Strong working knowledge of SQL and UNIX.
- Experience in one or more relevant languages such as Java, Pythons, C#, or C++.
- Ability to run tests at large scale and filter out relevant information in large result sets.
- Ability to lead projects and drive them to completion.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and agile development environment.
- Excellent communication, sharp analytical abilities, and proven design skills.

We are actively growing the query optimization team of Redshift. The parallel-aware query optimizer of Redshift is at the heart of Redshift data plane and is responsible for finding optimal execution plans for tactical and complex queries running on the Redshift’s MPP engine.
