Introduction:
This role if for a Senior Test Automation Engineer, based in Pune, with a strong desire to own the delivery of testing for two or more platforms through Testing Lifecycle, Agile Processes maintaining and executing test cases/ test plans with in project timelines, report on test coverage along with progress, defect logging / reporting and lead Bug Triage along with supporting UAT. The role would require working across India and US time zones for business continuity.

What will you be doing?

50% - Technical Leadership
- Liaising with BA’s and Project Managers for clarity development requirements
- Collaborating with business analysts and senior colleagues in order to determine the functional and technical specifications
- Developing work breakdown structures and detailed estimates, assisting in project planning and related project artefacts
- Highlight risks and opportunities, planning mitigating actions and documenting them in a log
- Hands-on involvement with the design of solutions
- Perform reviews of technical specifications, code and artefacts produced by the team
- Oversight of the development team during the implementation of the solution
- Liaising closely with the test teams to ensure that QA processes are relevant and thorough
- Working with the release teams to ensure smooth deliveries
- Reviewing the progress of a project according to its plan, maintaining and reporting status updates to the development manager and stake holders
- Ensure processes and practices are followed, documentation is complete, comprehensive and signed off, and defects are tracked & closed
- Hands on development, organize and provide support during SIT, QA and UAT test phases

25% - Communication and Administration
- Coordinating with SMEs and BAs to conduct regular Knowledge Transfer (KT) to development team and enhancing the overall business skills within the group
- Acting as a point of contact within Pune for individual projects

25% - Release and Tier 3 Support
- Ensure release plans and coordinating release walkthroughs with the environment managers and RTB teams
- Acting as an escalation point of contact for support team, investigating and resolving issues found in production
- Providing on-call support for releases where necessary
- Ensure requests from the RTB support team is promptly responded

Handle technical issues that are out of scope for the support staff.

What we’re looking for:

- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Positive attitude and out of box thought process.
- 2+ years of experience on any programming language.
- At least a year of experience in BDD framework.
- Understanding of Agile SDLC concepts; Understanding of Scrum/Kanban Agile SDLC methodology.
- Good understanding of investment banking, and the industry sector
