Job Summary:
The Payroll Officer for the Facility Manager organization is responsible for efficiently managing and processing payroll activities, ensuring accurate and timely compensation for employees. This role involves collaborating with various departments to gather payroll-related information, maintaining records, and adhering to legal and organizational policies. The Payroll Officer plays a crucial role in maintaining employee satisfaction by ensuring seamless payroll processes within the facility management organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- **Payroll Processing**:
- Compile and process payroll data, including hours worked, bonuses, and deductions.
- Verify and reconcile payroll transactions to ensure accuracy.
- Calculate overtime, commissions, and other incentives as per company policies.
- **Data Management**:
- Maintain accurate records of employee information, including tax exemptions, benefits, and leave balances.
- Update payroll records for new hires, terminations, and other changes in employment status.
- **Compliance**:
- Stay updated on local, state, and federal payroll regulations to ensure compliance.
- Prepare and submit statutory reports and payments, such as taxes and social security contributions.
- **Communication and Support**:
- Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, taxes, and deductions.
- Collaborate with HR and other departments to address payroll-related issues and provide necessary support.
- **Reporting**:
- Generate and analyze payroll reports for management review.
- Prepare financial reports related to payroll costs and budget variances.
- **System Management**:
- Utilize and maintain payroll software systems to streamline processes and ensure data accuracy.
- Collaborate with IT to implement system upgrades and enhancements.
- **Auditing**:
- Conduct regular audits of payroll data to identify discrepancies and ensure data integrity.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors during payroll audits.
- **Benefits Administration**:
- Assist in administering employee benefits, including health insurance and retirement plans.
- Ensure accurate deduction and remittance of benefit contributions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Payroll Officer or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of payroll regulations and taxation.
- Familiarity with payroll software and systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
The Payroll Officer is instrumental in maintaining the financial well-being of the facility management organization by ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processes. **Salary**: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
