**About the Business Unit**

The Languages business encompasses all non-English or Indic Brands within the Times Internet portfolio, featuring a presence in eight regional languages across India, including Navbharat Times in Hindi, Maharashtra Times in Marathi, Vijay Karnataka in Kannada, Samayam in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam, and I am Gujarat.

Our Languages division stands as the fastest-growing regional content platform in India. We have an audience base of 180 million users, with approximately one in every four Indians engaging with Times Internet Languages Platforms. We are the leading news and information player in the Indic Languages category on Comscore. We have maintained this dominance for several years now.

Diversity is at the heart of our community. Our audience is predominantly young, primarily below the age of 34 and has a strong female presence. We have a strong presence on social platforms with 24Mn followers on Facebook and 14Mn subscribers on Youtube, as on 15th Apr’24.

**About the Role**

As the Assistant Editor in the Auto Section, you will play a critical role in supporting the editorial team in content creation, editing, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of all published material. You will work closely with writers, senior editors, and other stakeholders to deliver compelling auto stories that engage our audience.

**Work Responsibilities**:
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and industry news.

Maintain a high standard of writing, editing, and publishing across all auto-related content.

Ensure all content aligns with the publication’s tone, voice, and branding.

Help implement best practices for driving organic traffic to auto articles.

**Skills, Experience & Expertise**:
Proven experience of managing the Auto section.

Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills in Hindi.

Strong research skills and the ability to present information in an engaging manner.

Experience of covering the Auto events.

Ability to simplify complex concepts for a younger audience.

Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or a related field is preferred.

Experience of creating videos will be a plus point.

**Eligibility**:
Bachelor's Degree: Most positions will require a bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, English, or a related field.

Total 10-12 years of experience and minimum 7-8 years of experience in Auto.

Having a strong interest in the automotive sector is essential. This might include experience covering automotive news, writing car reviews, or having a background in the auto industry.

A deep understanding of the automotive industry, including vehicle types, technological advancements, market trends, and notable brands, is necessary.
