Overview:

- You will maintain high quality communication and excellent relationships with fellow editors,authors, designers, and stakeholders in the organization.
- Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

- Scope of work includes,but are not limited to,the following
- Copy edit, proof and prepare titles for publication, all the way up to production and plotters
- Maintain positive work relationships and high-quality communication with fellow editors, and authors.
- Marking copy with standard proofreading marks to notify authors and editors of necessary changes
- Ability to rephrase, and rewrite portions of text for better readability
- Checking facts and statistics to ensure the accuracy of the textKnowledge of referencing footnotes and end notes
- An eye for standardization and consistency of house style throughout the book and across all titles
- Demonstrate eagerness to develop editorial knowledge and proficiency
- Provide guidance, training, and assistance to fellow editors or any other colleague(s) as assigned.
- Communicate in a professional and personable manner with editors ,authors.
- Contribute ideas and give feedback in a concise and productive way.
- Assist in training new colleagues
- Participate in projects, committees, or task forces as assigned,
- Participate in other activities, as needed, to achieve company and departmental goals
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily.
