**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Survey Planning and Execution**:
- Conduct land surveys and measurements using advanced equipment such as GPS, total stations and theodolites.
- Establish accurate reference points and benchmarks for construction projects.
- **Data Analysis and Reporting**:
- Interpret survey data to create detailed maps, plans and reports.
- Analyze spatial data for accuracy and consistency, ensuring all outputs meet project requirements.
- **Site Coordination**:
- Collaborate with architects, engineers and project managers to provide necessary survey information.
- Assist in resolving design or site layout issues based on survey findings.
- **Boundary and Topographic Surveys**:
- Determine property boundaries and prepare legal descriptions for land parcels.
- Perform topographic surveys to provide elevation and contour data for project planning.
- **Construction Stakeouts**:
- Set out construction markers for foundations, structures and utilities to guide on-site activities.
- Verify accuracy and alignment of completed work against project plans.
- **Compliance and Safety**:
- Ensure all surveying activities comply with legal and safety standards.
- Maintain and calibrate surveying instruments regularly to ensure precision.
- **Documentation and Recordkeeping**:
- Maintain organized records of survey data, including field notes, drawings and calculations.
- Prepare and present reports to stakeholders as required.
**Qualifications and Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in surveying within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in using surveying tools and software (e.g., AutoCAD, GIS, Total Station).
- Strong knowledge of land laws, property boundaries and construction standards.
- Excellent mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good physical stamina and ability to work in various outdoor conditions.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- A valid surveyor’s license or certification is an advantage.
