Travel Associate

**Travel Associate**

**Mumbai India**

As a Travel Associate / Sr. Travel Associate, you are expected to Primary point of contact for the customer and provides active travel consultation towards crewing teams, including providing travel details and selling of travel related product. Performs at an expert and demonstrates an extensive understanding and applicability of all areas in the travel industry. Works independently and serving crewing team, sea crew bookings. Initiative to provide assistance to team members and management as requested.

**Your responsibilities**:
This position performs at an expert/senior level and demonstrates an extensive knowledge and understanding and of all areas in the crew travel management industry.
- Provide full spectrum of travel consultancy services to crewing team include flight, hotel, car reservations or other travel arrangement
- Expertly use the appropriate the BCD Travel tools and systems to complete requests
- Strong understanding of a client travel policy and can appropriately guide and consistently provide consultation to the customer
- Provide best travel offers and travel advice to crewing team
- Responds to requests accurately and complete within SLA
- Provides the customer with the required industry information, such as visa information, travel alert etc.,
- Achieve sales target and goals (ex: airlines/hotels/vendors)
- Achieve individual performance against company goal
- Attention on market and competitor movement to ensure retain customer satisfaction
- Complete task within SLA (service level agreement) with customer satisfaction
- Effectively uses the telephone systems
- Ensure accuracy at work on daily work to maintain quality control
- Completes travel request without errors
- Adheres to BCD Travel policies and procedures to maintain quality control
- Provides the customer a full recap of the confirmed itinerary
- Responds to the customer promptly
- Always listens, does not ask the customer to repeat information he/she already provided and applies the information to the inquiry
- Asks questions targeted to encourage complete responses
- Matches the customer's tone and pace as appropriate
- Offers suggestions to the customer and anticipates needs
- Positive attitude and provides team work to achieve KPI
- Help each other to solve problem and provides advise
- Shows team spirit with good morale at all time
- Completes scheduled Typhoon/DRP duties
- Assists testing of new projects as assigned (ex: New Technology)
- Attend customer visit when necessary
- Serve crew travel arrangement (STC)

**We’re looking for you if your profile matches the following**:

- Minimum of 2 year’s experience in the crew travel management industry (TC)
- Minimum of 5 year’s experience in the crew travel management industry (STC)
- Solid working knowledge of the travel industry, policies, procedures and processes
- Strong skills on travel industry systems (i.e. GDS)
- Good verbal and written communication skills in designated languages
- Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
- Ability to work shift hours
- Ability to work independently, exercising general judgment
- Good professional customer service and problem resolution skills
- Demonstrated internet research skills for customer information
- Diploma/Certificate in tourism-related field
