We are currently seeking a **Shadow Teacher / Behavioural Specialist** to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be an integral part of a supportive school environment, helping a child navigate their daily activities, emotional challenges, and behavioural needs. You will work closely with school staff and our expert psychologists to ensure a positive and successful educational experience.

**Role Overview**:
As a **Shadow Teacher / Behavioural Specialist**, your primary responsibility will be to assist and provide one-on-one support to a student in a school setting. You will work to promote emotional regulation, manage behavioural challenges, and support the student’s learning experience throughout the school day.

This position offers the unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a child’s development, with guidance and support from Omni Health Services' experienced psychologists.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Shadow and Support**: Assist the student throughout their school day by providing individualized support with their emotional, social, and academic needs. This includes helping them stay focused, follow instructions, and engage positively with peers and teachers.
- **Behavioural Support**: Implement strategies to manage the child’s emotional and behavioural challenges in real-time, using techniques tailored to their specific needs.
- **Collaboration with Staff**: Work closely with teachers, counsellors, and other staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive approach to the child’s education and well-being.
- **Supervision and Guidance**: Be supported and supervised by our in-house psychologists, receiving ongoing guidance and feedback to ensure the most effective strategies are used to help the child thrive.
- **Daily Reports**: Submit daily reports documenting the child’s progress, challenges faced, and behavioural observations, ensuring that all relevant parties are informed of the child’s development.
- **Monthly Reports**: Provide a comprehensive monthly report summarizing the child’s growth, highlighting successful interventions, and identifying any areas that require further attention.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelors in Psychology/Masters in psychology, Special education course, Special Needs Teacher training, B.Ed., Experience in a behavioural specialist, or similar role working with children with emotional or behavioural needs is highly preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and school staff.
- A patient, empathetic, and positive attitude, with the ability to build rapport with children and create a supportive environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience in special education or therapeutic settings is a plus.
- Languages: English (must)
