Working for the world’s leading EdTech and Publishing company, your key responsibility is to acquire/commission high-value, suitable books/journals in business & economics and STEM. We have two different positions and one role will be responsible for B&E whereas the other would be responsible for STEM.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- Implementation of strategy, business development, and customer relationships
- To drive the commissioning portfolio and maintain a record of current details of relationships with the institutions and other stakeholders and identify follow-up actions when required
- Developing and implementing an ambitious commissioning strategy
- Responsible for differentiating and adding journals/books according to fit to our portfolio and our Spectrum services portfolio.
- Identify opportunities to build awareness for our books/journals portfolio and generate leads through active participation in relevant offline/online conferences and other events.
- To upscale knowledge of emerging market trends in publishing and provide regular feedback to us with a particular focus on competitor activity and overall landscape.
- To represent at events such as author workshops and make presentations and prepare modules, as required.
- Prepare a travel plan to cover medical institutions/conferences in cities across India for lead generation and keep in regular touch with editors/society both personally and through correspondence.
- Preparing the P&L of each journal and arriving at a price that is both competitive as well as profitable.
- Liaising as per requirement with different departments such as Sales, Managing, Production, Peer Review, Marketing, Customer Service, and Finance.

**SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**
- Minimum of 2-5 years of relevant commissioning experience with a proven track record.
- Familiarity with the academic market landscape
- Ability to develop ongoing relationships with our customers at various levels as well as with other stakeholders, as applicable.
- Proven business development experience in B&E and STEM books/journals.
- Able to negotiate contracts, building relationships, lead generation, documentation & coldcalling.
- Attention to detail and accuracy and ensuring that institutions receive a quick response to all correspondence.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Ability to work in a multicultural and collaborative environment.
- Ability to use and interpret data as a basis for sound decision-making.
- Strong project management skills - Should possess financial acumen.
- Ability to source the right information through various means.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: ₹100,000.00 - ₹130,000.00 per month
