**Job Overview**
As the first point of contact for patients at **Garg Ortho Care**, the receptionist plays a vital role in creating a warm, welcoming, and professional environment. You will be responsible for managing front desk operations, scheduling appointments, handling queries, and supporting the day-to-day administrative functions of the clinic. A calm, friendly, and organized personality is key to succeeding in this role.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Greet patients with warmth and professionalism
- Manage walk-ins and respond to phone calls promptly and politely
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments
- Maintain the doctor’s calendar and coordinate timely consultations
- Organize and update patient records and files
- Prepare invoices, handle billing, and manage cash/card payments
- Keep the reception and waiting area clean and orderly
- Prepare daily reports related to appointments, collections, and front desk activity
- Assist during emergencies and follow proper escalation protocols
- Collect patient feedback and ensure satisfaction
**Required Skills and Qualifications**
- Strong verbal communication in **Hindi and basic English**:
- Basic computer skills (MS Office, billing systems)
- Pleasant telephone etiquette and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, courteous, and patient-focused attitude
- Ability to multitask and handle pressure calmly
- Good time management and organizational abilities
- Basic knowledge of billing, cash handling, and reporting
- Presentable and professional appearance
**Preferred Experience**
- Prior experience in a clinic/hospital setting is a plus
- Familiarity with orthopedic or healthcare terminology is an advantage
