**Position**: Dry Bulk Ship Broker

**Job Overview**:
The Dry Bulk Ship Broker is responsible for facilitating the chartering of dry bulk carriers by acting as an intermediary between ship owners and cargo interests (traders, logistics companies, or commodity producers). The role involves market research, negotiations, contract management, and relationship building to ensure profitable deals in the dry bulk shipping sector.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Market Research and Analysis**:

- Monitor global dry bulk shipping trends and market conditions.
- Keep abreast of supply and demand factors, freight rates, and industry news affecting the dry bulk market.
- Analyze vessel availability and freight costs to inform decision-making.
- **Business Development and Relationship Management**:

- Establish and maintain relationships with ship owners, charterers, and other stakeholders in the shipping and commodity industries.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase company revenue.
- Manage client accounts and ensure customer satisfaction.
- **Negotiation and Contract Management**:

- Negotiate terms and conditions of contracts, including freight rates, delivery schedules, and chartering agreements.
- Draft and review charter party agreements, ensuring compliance with legal and industry standards.
- Coordinate with legal and financial departments to finalize contracts.
- **Coordination of Ship Chartering**:

- Arrange the logistics and scheduling of dry bulk cargo shipments between ship owners and charterers.
- Provide operational support by ensuring proper documentation, port clearances, and timely updates for clients.
- Liaise with port agents and other parties to ensure smooth operations and address any issues that arise during transit.
- **Problem Solving**:

- Resolve any disputes or issues that arise between ship owners and charterers promptly and professionally.
- Monitor shipments to ensure adherence to contractual terms, addressing delays or discrepancies as needed.
- **Financial and Market Reporting**:

- Provide regular market updates and analysis to clients and senior management.
- Assist in managing pricing strategies and deal structures to maximize profitability.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions and assist in invoicing and financial reporting.
- **Collaboration**:

- Work closely with other brokers, operations staff, and external partners to ensure smooth execution of contracts and timely delivery of services.
- Collaborate with the logistics, technical, and finance departments to ensure efficient operations and financial settlements.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- **Education**:

- A degree in Business, Maritime Studies, Economics, or a related field is preferred.
- Additional qualifications in shipping, logistics, or trade would be an advantage.
- **Experience**:

- Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in dry bulk ship brokering or related shipping/transportation roles.
- Knowledge of international shipping regulations, chartering practices, and dry bulk commodities.
- **Skills**:

- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and shipping software tools.
- Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- **Personal Attributes**:

- Self-motivated and results-driven.

Pay: ₹75,000.00 - ₹200,000.00 per month
