Scrum Master

Assesses the scrum maturity of organizationtion and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization.
- Cultivates trust through personal and team relationships with a team of Product Owners and Stakeholders, located in Benton Harbor, United States.
- Models expected Scrum Master behavior and sklead-by-exampled by example style and mindset,
- Supported ensures the alignment and timely delivery across the different Scrum teams.
- Supports and educates Product Owners on behaviors and mindsets, as well as grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
- Enforces a culture of stop-and-fix to enhance and protect the Development Team’s reputation for excellence in engineering.
- Ensures Agile and Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to, be a voice of reason, and make the tough calls in demanding situations.
- Builds a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problem-solving.
- Facilitates getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work.
- Facilitates discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.
- Assists with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.
- Provides all support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example.
- Helps implement best practices for the team's Scrum ceremonies, i.e. Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective, and Backlog grooming.
- Liaise with the Product Owner and the Business Analysts in order to ensure completeness and clarity of user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Enabling the team to operate in a self-organizing manner.
- Guiding the team on the Agile Scrum methodology in order to constantly improve the Scrum team's standards of
- work.
- Managing relationships and communicating with the project sponsor, senior management and other project contributors
- Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information
- Guiding the team/Scrum Master to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive those from idea to implementation

**Requirements**:

- Coach team members in Agile Framework
- Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing problem-solving solving.
- Facilitate disc decision-making and conflict resolution
- Demonstrated experience in guiding the development Team on self-organizing to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience in setting up Scrum Teams from scratch, and identifying and driving the activities and outcomes that are key to successfully standing up a new Scrum Team.
- Demonstrated experience and success in coaching teams to increase levels of competency and expertise in Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment environments.
- Ability to communicate, collaborate and influence cross-functionally at all levels of the organization (including senior leaders) and work well in a distributed, team-oriented environment.
- Excellent written/verbal communication, presentation, and mentoring skills.
- The high degree of emotional intelligence and is able to build successful, collaborative relationships with all personality types.

**TECHNICAL**
- Min. 5+ years of Scrum Master experience In-depth understanding of software development methodologies and frameworks
- In-depth understanding of different agile methodologies like Lean, Kanban, Feature Driven Development, and Extreme Programming.
- In-depth knowledge of Agile-Scrum methodologies like SAFe Agile, Scrum at Scale, Spotify Agile
- Good understanding of automation testing tools and practices
- Good understanding and practical experience of Agile engineering practices like DevOps (Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, Continuous Testing, Continuous Delivery )
- Experience in using and implementing Application Lifecycle Management tools like Jira, Rational etc.
- Should have certifications like Certified Enterprise Coach (CEC), PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), SAFe Scaled Agilist (SA)
- Sound knowledge on UI transitions, network communication and memory/battery efficiency.
