**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**:

- The Scrum Master's chief objective is to ensure that the team produces the highest quality software in a predictable cadence providing tangible value to customers. He or she must be able to coach multiple software delivery teams in an Agile environment. Servant-Leadership, organizational, and motivational strengths are essential. The Scrum Master will work with the Scrum Teams to maximize their potential while promoting self-organization.

**ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Be the steward of the process to ensure the team is working by the values and practices of Scrum
- Coach Avaya development teams and overall organization in Agile best practices and selection of the appropriate processes (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) to achieve Release & Agile Commit Planning
- Continually evaluate Teams’ success in Agile delivery and not only identify opportunities for improvement, but develop the strategy to implement change across team and organization levels
- Define & assist in crafting Definition of Ready, Definition of Done, Personas & story mapping
- Organize and facilitate, all Scrum ceremonies: daily stand-up meetings, backlog refinement, sprint planning, retrospectives, and sprint reviews & Scrum of Scrums
- Collaborate with Stakeholders, Product Managers, Business Analysts, and Development Managers to plan releases and manage a healthy product backlog, Technical Debt
- Manage & keep upto date scrum boards & scrum rooms.
- Track quality
- bugs, static analysis code smells, code coverage
- with continuous improvements and reduction of technical debt using metrics derived from tools and gadgets
- Champion Evidence based Outcomes
- Cross team and cross culture/ time-zone interactions with sensitivity
- Introduce and track appropriate metrics in support of continued improvement with the goal of getting the best work out of each team and measuring representing that improvement to the team and leadership
- Collaborate with Technology Leadership to ensure the delivery teams are practicing Agile framework and software engineering best practices
- Report progress, team status, and issues to senior management using appropriate agile metrics & gadgets
- Work with Stakeholders and Product Management to clearly articulate a common goal for the team at the release and sprint levels
- Cultivate a team that recognizes the value of Agile delivery and use that recognition to continuously inspect and adapt for areas of improvement
- Foster a culture of delivering to commitment, collaboration, creativity and innovation
- Aid delivery teams in determining suitable commitments for product backlog items and sprints
- Coordinate the execution of deliverables across multiple Scrum Teams with a focus on scaling Scrum to manage cross team dependencies and evolution to full stack teams
- Protect time allocated to developers to explore innovative solutions to business and technical problems
- Champion continuous improvements in processes and development techniques applied by the delivery team and the entire technology organization by collaborating with other Scrum Masters, Scrum Teams, and Leadership to influence the overall organization

**ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS**:
EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Certified/Professional Scrum Master
- 3 - 4 years of Agile project management experience with proven history of delivering software

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

Projects:

- 4+ years with experience as a Scrum Master or related role
- 4+ years' experience managing dependencies and project integration in a cross-functional,

Matrix environment:
- Practical experience scaling Scrum and partnering with other teams to monitor cross team

Dependencies:

- Detailed understanding of software development lifecycle and agile software development

Practices:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Advanced problem analysis and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrable achievement in transitioning a team into Scrum and increasing adoption/maturity
- Ability to operate independently with alignment of stakeholders and take correct decisions within stipulated time to have optimal impact

Past experience:

- Experience with technology and domain in Software field is a must
- Contact Center experience a plus
- Experience with JIRA (Atlassian products)
- Experience Jira Align is good to have
- Experience managing projects for commercial software products
- Experience in continuous integration and continuous deployment
- Certified/Professional Scrum Trainer, Product Owner, or Developer
