Production Supervisor

**Job description**

The Production Head is responsible for overseeing the entire production process in a food manufacturing facility. This role involves managing production operations, ensuring product quality, implementing health and safety standards, and leading a team of production staff to meet daily, weekly, and monthly production targets. The Production Head also plays a key role in developing and optimizing production processes, reducing costs, and improving operational efficiency.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Production Management**:

- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the production process.
- Coordinate production schedules and ensure timely production and delivery of products.
- Ensure that all production activities comply with food safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
- **Team Leadership**:

- Lead and manage a team of production supervisors, operators, and workers.
- Provide training and development opportunities for the production team.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, motivation, and high performance.
- **Quality Control**:

- Monitor production output to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance with food safety standards.
- Implement corrective actions to resolve any quality issues promptly.
- Work closely with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to conduct inspections and audits.
- **Process Improvement**:

- Analyse production processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost reduction, and quality enhancement.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize the use of resources, reduce waste, and increase production capacity.
- Stay updated with industry trends and technologies to implement best practices in production processes.
- **Inventory and Supply Chain Coordination**:

- Ensure the availability of raw materials and ingredients for production in collaboration.
- Monitor inventory levels to avoid production delays or excess stock.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients to maintain quality and safety.
- **Health and Safety Compliance**:

- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including hygiene practices, machine safety, and workplace safety.
- Conduct regular safety audits and training for production staff.
- Investigate and resolve any safety incidents or concerns.
- **Reporting and Documentation**:

- Maintain accurate records of production data, including production volumes, downtime, and quality control results.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management on production performance, challenges, and improvements.
- **Budgeting and Cost Control**:

- Develop and manage the production department’s budget.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising product quality or safety.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**:

- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- **Experience**:

- **Fresher are most Welcome.**:

- 5+ years of experience in food production, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Proven track record of managing production teams in the food manufacturing industry.
- **Skills and Competencies**:

- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

**Working Conditions**:

- Full-time position with occasional weekend or evening shifts, depending on production needs.
