Position Title: Store Executive - Logistics
Department: Logistics / Warehouse
Location : Chakan
Job Overview:
The Store Executive in Logistics plays a critical role in managing the day-to-day operations of the store and warehouse, ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods and materials. This role involves overseeing inventory management, stock levels, order fulfillment, and the proper organization of the storage areas. The Store Executive will collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and external partners to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate stock levels in the store and warehouse.
- Perform regular stock audits to ensure that inventory records match physical stock.
- Update and monitor inventory control systems.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and categorization of materials and products.
2. Receiving and Dispatching Goods:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for quantity and quality.
- Coordinate with suppliers and delivery teams to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Prepare and dispatch orders accurately based on customer requirements or internal requests.
- Ensure the proper documentation for receipts and dispatches (e.g., goods receipt notes, shipping forms).
3. Storage and Organization:
- Ensure that the storage areas are clean, organized, and in compliance with safety regulations.
- Oversee the proper labeling and categorization of goods to maximize space and improve accessibility.
- Track and manage shelf-life and expiration dates for products, if applicable.
4. Stock Replenishment:
- Monitor stock levels and initiate reordering processes when necessary to prevent stock-outs or overstock.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate for timely and cost-effective procurement of goods.
5. Order Fulfillment:
- Pick, pack, and prepare items for shipment or distribution according to customer or internal orders.
- Coordinate with the logistics team for timely dispatch of orders.
- Assist in managing returns, exchanges, and repairs of products as required.
6. Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of all stock movements (inbound and outbound).
- Assist in generating reports related to inventory turnover, stock discrepancies, and order processing.
- Keep track of any damages, losses, or discrepancies in inventory and report them accordingly.
7. Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the store and warehouse environment.
- Follow best practices for material handling and the operation of warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
- Identify and report any hazards or potential safety concerns.
8. Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the procurement, sales, and customer service teams to ensure smooth and timely order fulfillment.
- Work closely with the logistics team to ensure seamless transport and distribution of goods.
- Liaise with suppliers and customers to resolve any issues related to deliveries, stock, or quality.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
**Education**:
- Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent; a degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is a plus.
- Experience:
- 3 to 4 years of experience in a logistics, warehouse, or store management role.
- Familiarity with inventory management software and/or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Experience with stock control, order processing, and supply chain logistics.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of safety and regulatory compliance in a logistics environment.
- Knowledge of material handling equipment and warehouse operations is a plus.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Experience with warehouse management systems ERP software is a plus.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
