Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:

- **Machine Setup & Operation**:

- Set up and operate CNC machines to perform various tasks such as drilling, milling, grinding, and turning.
- Adjust machine settings (e.g., speed, feed, coolant) to ensure optimal performance based on job specifications.
- Load raw materials into the CNC machine and supervise the machining process.
- **Blueprint Interpretation**:

- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models to understand specifications and tolerances.
- Determine required tooling and machine setup based on job requirements.
- **Quality Control**:

- Conduct regular checks on machined parts to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.
- Use measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to inspect parts and make necessary adjustments.
- **Maintenance & Troubleshooting**:

- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC machines to ensure their optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machines to minimize downtime.
- **Documentation & Reporting**:

- Document production details and maintain records of machine performance and job completion.
- Report any defects or equipment issues to the Production Supervisor.

Qualifications & Skills:

- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in CNC machining preferred.
- **Experience**: 1+ years of experience in CNC operation or a related manufacturing role.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and CNC machine manuals.
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM software is a plus.
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
- **Problem-Solving Skills**: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues.
- **Attention to Detail**: Strong attention to detail to maintain high standards of accuracy and quality.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to lift 25-50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Working Conditions:

- Exposure to noise, oil, and grease as part of the manufacturing environment.
- Must follow all safety guidelines and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
