**Position Summary**:
The General Service Associate (GSA) - F&B Service plays a vital role in ensuring a positive and efficient dining experience for guests in the hotel's food and beverage outlets. The GSA is responsible for assisting the service team in delivering excellent guest service, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring smooth operations within the F&B area. The role involves both front-of-house and back-of-house responsibilities, including setting up dining areas, serving food and beverages, assisting with guest orders, and maintaining a high level of hygiene and safety standards.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Guest Service**:
- Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables.
- Provide guests with menus, answer inquiries, and offer recommendations on food and beverage options.
- Assist guests in making choices, accommodating special requests, and ensuring their satisfaction throughout their dining experience.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest complaints, concerns, or feedback and escalate to management if necessary.
- **Service Assistance**:
- Support servers and other F&B staff during service periods, ensuring that orders are taken, prepared, and delivered promptly.
- Serve food and beverages to guests as per hotel standards.
- Clear tables efficiently and promptly after meals and ensure proper handling of cutlery, glassware, and dishes.
- Prepare and replenish condiment stations, water pitchers, and beverages.
- **Operational Duties**:
- Set up and break down dining areas, ensuring they are clean, organized, and well-maintained before and after service.
- Assist in the preparation of tables and dining areas, ensuring that all necessary items (utensils, glassware, napkins, etc.) are in place.
- Help with inventory management by keeping track of supplies and reporting low stock to supervisors.
- Assist with the delivery and clearing of food orders in accordance with hotel policies.
- **Hygiene and Safety**:
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of work areas, tables, and service stations in compliance with hotel standards and food safety regulations.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines, ensuring a safe and sanitized environment for both guests and team members.
- Assist in maintaining the overall appearance of the F&B outlets, ensuring cleanliness and tidiness at all times.
- **Team Collaboration**:
- Work closely with the kitchen, bartenders, and other team members to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and fellow associates to maintain high levels of teamwork and cooperation.
- Assist with any other duties as required by the F&B supervisor or management.
**Qualifications and Requirements**:
- **Education**:
- Diploma/Bachlors in Hotel Management
- **Experience**:
- Previous experience in a hospitality, food, and beverage, or customer service role is preferred.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and order-taking procedures is a plus.
- **Skills & Abilities**:
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with guests in a friendly, professional manner.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high service standards.
- Good physical stamina, as the role may require standing for extended periods and lifting trays or supplies.
- **Other Requirements**:
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A customer-focused approach and dedication to delivering exceptional guest service.
**Working Conditions**:
- The role may require working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with some exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels, particularly during peak hours.
- Work schedule will vary, and flexibility is required to meet the operational needs of the F&B department.
Pay: From ₹17,500.00 per month
