Vfx Artist

**Job brief**

We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented Visual Effects Artist creating computerized animations. To be successful, the Visual Effects Artist must be adept at using industry-standard software tools and be highly creative.

**Responsibilities**
- Responsible for creating new visual effect templates for the company to store in its library.
- Craft CGI and animated characters and settings.
- Develop simulations for trials to be demonstrated to clients and management.
- Draws up storyboards to be reviewed by other art creators within the company.
- Able to meet production targets, adhere to strict deadlines and other restrictions.
- Heed client instructions when producing content.
- Troubleshoot existing animation problems.
- Collaborate with team artists to develop the design for the effects and animations.
- Ensure that your work operates at, or under, their company’s budget.
- Search for alternatives when your work is projected to go over budget.
- To ensure that the clients' expectations are met, works closely with 3D designers, leads, and the animation supervisor.

**Requirements**:

- Degree or certificate in computer animations or related field
- 3+ years experience
- Deep understanding of the following software tools: Unity, Houdini, Dreamweaver, and CS5
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems knowledge as well as experience in Windows
- General knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, CAD, and Nuke/After Effects
- An understanding of aspect dynamics, animation rigging/set-up, and 3D character animation
- Highly creative and passion in visual effects
- Excellent computer skills as well as great attention to detail
- Exceptional work ethic and time management skills
- Possess the ability to work with little or no supervision when drawing and designing images
- Communication and active listening skills are important
- Good drawing and coloring skills
