- **Supervision of Nursing Staff**:
- Manage and supervise the nursing team, including Registered Nurses (RNs), General Nursing Midwives (GNMs).
- Delegate nursing duties and create effective duty rosters to cover 24-hour patient care.
- Evaluate and review staff performance regularly, providing feedback, mentoring, and identifying training needs.
- Ensure that nurses follow protocols prescribed by the **GUJARAT Nursing Council** and hospital standards.
- **Patient Care Oversight**:
- Monitor the care plans for patients to ensure high-quality services and adherence to **hospital infection control protocols**.
- Collaborate with medical officers, physicians, and healthcare teams to coordinate patient treatment plans.
- Ensure proper administration of medications, including monitoring critical patients and high-risk care areas such as the ICU, CCU, or NICU.
- **Regulatory Compliance & Documentation**:
- Ensure compliance with the **Gujarat Nursing Council (GNC)**, **National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH)**, and **National Health Mission (NHM)** guidelines.
- Maintain patient care records accurately and ensure compliance with hospital policies for medical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with protocols around **bio-medical waste management**, handling medical equipment, and adherence to safety standards.
- **Staff Training and Development**:
- Facilitate orientation programs for new nurses and regular in-service training as per Indian Nursing Council standards.
- Promote continuous nursing education (CNE) and skill enhancement to stay updated with nursing practices and healthcare technologies.
- Arrange workshops and seminars in line with **National Health Mission** and the latest healthcare initiatives in India.
- **Quality Control and Improvement**:
- Conduct regular audits of nursing care services to ensure the quality of care and patient satisfaction.
- Implement infection control measures as per **INC** guidelines and hospital policy.
- Participate in internal reviews and audits to ensure adherence to NABH standards.
- **Coordination and Administration**:
- Collaborate with the Hospital Administrator, medical staff, and departments such as pharmacy, diagnostics, and housekeeping for seamless patient care delivery.
- Assist in inventory management of medical supplies, medications, and nursing equipment.
- Ensure optimal utilization of available resources while maintaining cost-effectiveness in nursing operations.
- **Crisis and Emergency Response**:
- Lead the nursing team during medical emergencies, ensuring proper triaging, patient management, and collaboration with emergency services.
- Ensure preparedness for disaster management, managing resources like oxygen, ventilators, and essential medications as per Indian government protocols.
- **Budgeting and Resource Management**:
- Assist in the preparation of the nursing department’s budget, ensuring prudent use of resources.
- Monitor expenditure related to nursing supplies and equipment, working within the approved budgetary framework.
- **Patient and Family Interaction**:
- Ensure that the nursing staff communicates effectively with patients and their families, addressing concerns and providing necessary education about care and discharge plans.
- Handle patient grievances professionally, aiming for swift resolution.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
