**About the Role**:
We are seeking a driven and well-connected **Assistant Buyer** with deep expertise in **merchandising, sourcing, and craft-based vendor development**. This role goes beyond traditional buying to include a strong focus on **building and expanding a vendor network across India**, understanding regional crafts, and supporting the digital commerce team. Ideal for someone who has worked with a **D2C brand**, understands fast fashion cycles, and has the pulse of the modern consumer.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with the Buyer to curate an optimal product mix tailored to consumer trends and brand vision.
- Lead sourcing for ethnic and craft-based jewellery with a focus on hubs like **Jaipur, Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, and Hyderabad**.
- Leverage an **existing vendor network** and continuously identify, evaluate, and onboard new artisans, karigars, and suppliers across India.
- Develop strong vendor relationships, ensuring cost efficiency, quality control, and timely deliveries.
- Manage purchase orders and track shipments across categories and geographies.
- Analyze product performance and consumer preferences using data tools and Excel.
- Create linesheets, manage product uploads, and support e-commerce merchandising needs for the website.
- Coordinate with design, production, and marketing teams to maintain a seamless supply-to-sale pipeline.
- Maintain accurate documentation of sourcing, pricing, and vendor terms.

**Who You Are**:

- You have **3+ years of experience** in merchandising/sourcing for fashion, lifestyle, or jewellery brands—preferably D2C.
- You bring a **deep understanding of Indian crafts and artisan clusters**.
- You have an **extensive pan-India vendor network** and a flair for discovering new ones.
- You’re organized, resourceful, and proactive with **strong negotiation and communication skills**.
- You’re comfortable with **Excel**, merchandising tools, and online catalog management.
- You understand the **modern Indian consumer**, have an eye for detail, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

**Bonus if You Have**:

- Experience working with platforms like **Shopify, Unicommerce, or similar tools**.
- Background in handling **sourcing for craft-led or artisanal product lines**.
- Experience in seasonal planning and forecast-based buying.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
