About the Role:
Key Responsibilities:

- **Lab Management**:

- Oversee the daily operations of the AI lab, ensuring the smooth functioning of all equipment and resources.
- Maintain and update lab software and hardware to stay current with technological advancements.
- Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures for lab use.
- **Teaching**:

- Design and deliver comprehensive AI and computer vision courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Prepare and update curriculum materials, including lectures, assignments, and examinations.
- Provide academic support and mentorship to students, fostering a stimulating learning environment.
- **Research and Development**:

- Conduct high-quality research in AI and computer vision, aiming for publication in top-tier journals and conferences.
- Collaborate with other faculty members on interdisciplinary research projects.
- **Student Engagement**:

- Organize and supervise student projects and research activities in the AI lab.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to students on their academic and career development.
- Facilitate workshops, seminars, and guest lectures to enhance students' learning experience.
- **Community Building**:

- Participate in on-campus events and activities to foster a vibrant academic community.
- Engage with students and faculty outside of the classroom to support a holistic educational environment.

Qualifications:

- **Educational Background**:

- A Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or a closely related field with a focus on computer vision.
- **Experience**:

- Demonstrated experience in managing an AI lab or similar research facility.
- Proven track record of teaching excellence at the university level.
- Strong research portfolio with publications in reputable AI and computer vision journals.
- **Skills and Competencies**:

- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, and MATLAB.
- Experience with AI frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to live on campus and engage actively with the academic community.
