**Job Description - Computer Lab Technician**

**Position**:Computer Lab Technician
**Location**:IIMT College of Engineering, Greater Noida
**Department**: IT Cell

**Reports To**:Head IT

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Install, configure, and maintain **desktop computers, laptops, printers, projectors, and related peripherals** in the computer lab.
- Provide **technical support to students, faculty, and staff** for hardware/software issues.
- Perform **regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair** of lab equipment.
- Ensure **network connectivity** (LAN, Wi-Fi) and assist in troubleshooting internet-related issues.
- Maintain proper **inventory records of hardware, software licenses, and accessories**.
- Assist in **lab setup for practical classes, workshops, and examinations**.
- Enforce **lab rules and IT policies** to maintain a secure and productive environment.
- Coordinate with the IT team for **upgrades, backups, and preventive maintenance**.

**Required Skills & Qualifications**:

- Diploma / bachelor’s in **computer science, IT, or related field**.
- Knowledge of **Windows/Linux operating systems and MS Office tools**.
- Familiarity with **networking basics (LAN, IP configuration, Wi-Fi, printers, etc.)**.
- Hands-on skills in **PC assembly, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance**.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Certification in **Hardware & Networking / CompTIA A+ / CCNA (basic level)**.
- Prior experience in managing **educational institution computer labs**.
- Knowledge of **server systems, virtualization, and backup tools**.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month

**Education**:

- Diploma (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Lab Technician: 3 years (preferred)
