- Role Description:
Responsible for the day-to-day operations.
Responsible for working on issues escalated from users.
Coordinate with other teams/customers and resolve the technical issues that arise in databases.
Technically must be able to understand the issue with good knowledge in database technologies, both on prem and cloud.

The key responsibilities of the position include:
Hands on experience in design, implementation, Administration of PostgreySQL and Microsoft SQL Database servers.
Setting up maintenance plans for backups, Database integrity check, re-indexing.
Verify status of Scheduled jobs, database backups, Review database sizes and growth settings.
Hands of experience in configuring and troubleshooting replication, mirroring & log shipping.
Experienced in to resolve blocking, deadlocks & fragmentation issues.
Hands on experience in Query tuning.
Maintaining & implementing server objects like creating new logins, mapping logins, creating new DB users
Hands of experience in to understanding and writing queries based on needs.
Good knowledge on configuring and troubleshooting DB backups to cloud storage, and database backup encryption.
Designing database Backup and recovery strategies for DB Servers for client environments
Hands on experience in configuring & trouble shooting High availability such as Always on & DB cluster.
Datacenter-Disaster Recovery Setup implementation for Microsoft SQL/PostGreySQL projects
Check DB server connectivity in network, verify disk spaces for database files, monitoring DB server logs.
Perform backup verification by test restore to align with backup & recovery strategy.
Production support to business and internal functions to ensure smooth operation of business
Experienced in configuring automation scripts for optimizing SQL performance.
Experienced in SQL alerts and notifications.
Maintaining & implementing server objects like creating new logins, mapping logins, creating new DB users
Administration of client Database servers, Production databases, DB fine tuning and performance tuning
Creating HLD, LLD, Pre-requisites, Checklist, SOP, AS-IS documents for SQL and Windows infra projects
Knowledge in cloud database technologies (PaaS) like SQL RDS, MSSQL PaaS, SQL Elastic pool etc.
Hands on experience on AWS Services (AWS RDS SQL ,AWS RDS Postgress, AWS DMS, S3 bucket and Cloud Watch.

Infrastructure Services:
Multiskilling - PostGreySQL, Microsoft SQL, Virtualization, essential knowledge on Storage, Networking, OS

Non-Technical Requirements:
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately with corporate executives and technical teams.
Proven Customer Consulting Experience.
Good communication (Verbal and Written) skills which helps in the smooth interaction with users/customers.
Good team player and able to follow team policies and processes.
Willing to Work in 24*7 rotational shift.
