Infrastructure Architect

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure solutions, including network, storage, compute, and cloud environments.
- Develop and document infrastructure architecture strategies, roadmaps, and standards.
- Lead the assessment and optimization of existing infrastructure, ensuring alignment with current and future business needs.
- Oversee the deployment of enterprise-level infrastructure solutions, focusing on performance, availability, and disaster recovery.
- Collaborate with security teams to ensure infrastructure is compliant with security policies and standards.
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement new technologies, tools, and best practices for infrastructure management.
- Lead capacity planning and performance tuning efforts across on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
- Manage vendor relationships, including contract negotiation and performance management.
- Ensure infrastructure architecture aligns with compliance requirements such as GDPR, ISO 27001, and other industry standards.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to infrastructure teams and support project management.

**Required Skills**:

- Proven experience in **infrastructure design** and **architecture**, with a focus on scalability, high availability, and security.
- Deep expertise in **cloud platforms** (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and **hybrid cloud** architectures.
- Strong knowledge of **network architecture**, including LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and security protocols.
- Hands-on experience with **virtualization technologies** (VMware, Hyper-V) and **containerization** (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in **storage solutions** (SAN, NAS, cloud storage) and **backup/disaster recovery** strategies.
- Expertise in **server architecture**, including **Windows** and **Linux environments**.
- Familiarity with **automation** tools and frameworks like **Terraform**, **Ansible**, or **Puppet**.
- Strong understanding of **cybersecurity principles** and **risk management**.
- Knowledge of **IT governance**, **compliance**, and industry standards (e.g., ITIL, TOGAF, ISO).
- Experience with **DevOps** practices and **CI/CD pipelines**.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Experience with **microservices architecture** and **serverless infrastructure**.
- Familiarity with **Edge computing** and **IoT infrastructure** design.
- Strong understanding of **SDN (Software-Defined Networking)** and **SaaS/PaaS/IaaS** models.
- Advanced knowledge of **monitoring and observability tools** (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Experience leading **migration projects** to the cloud or modernizing legacy systems.

**Education & Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in **Computer Science**, **Information Technology**, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture or a similar role.
- Certifications such as **AWS Certified Solutions Architect**, **Azure Solutions Architect**, or **Google Cloud Architect** are highly preferred.
- Certification in **ITIL**, **TOGAF**, or other architecture frameworks is a plus.
