Desktop Service Project Coordinator

**Job Summary**:
The Desktop Service Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and overseeing desktop-related IT projects, including software rollouts, hardware upgrades, and system implementations. This role ensures all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the required specifications while coordinating between various teams, stakeholders, and vendors.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Project Planning and Coordination**:
- Develop detailed project plans outlining tasks, timelines, resources, and milestones for desktop service-related projects.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, set expectations, and align project goals.
- **Execution of Desktop Service Projects**:
- Oversee the implementation of desktop service projects, including hardware and software upgrades, installations, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure the deployment of new desktop solutions is carried out according to project requirements and within the designated timeframe.
- **Stakeholder Communication**:
- Act as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, providing regular updates and progress reports.
- Ensure that all project risks, issues, and changes are communicated effectively to senior management and relevant teams.
- **Vendor Management**:
- Manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of hardware, software, or other desktop-related services.
- Negotiate contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) for desktop-related services.
- **Budget and Resource Management**:
- Monitor project budgets and ensure that resources (both human and material) are allocated effectively.
- Track and report on project expenses, ensuring projects stay within the allocated budget.
- **Quality Assurance and Testing**:
- Ensure that all desktop solutions are tested and meet performance and security standards before full deployment.
- Work with quality assurance teams to carry out user acceptance testing (UAT) and resolve any issues before project closure.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:
- Maintain thorough documentation of project processes, technical requirements, and user manuals for future reference.
- Generate project reports and performance metrics for senior leadership and stakeholders.
- **Training and User Support**:
- Coordinate the training of end users on new desktop systems, software, or processes introduced by the project.
- Provide post-project support to resolve any issues and ensure a smooth transition to the new systems.
- **Risk and Issue Management**:
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure smooth project execution.
- Handle issues proactively and ensure prompt resolution to avoid project delays.
**Skills and Qualifications**:
- **Educational Requirements**: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field.
- **Experience**:
- At least 3-5 years of experience in project management, particularly in desktop services or IT infrastructure projects.
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing desktop support or IT projects.
- **Technical Skills**:
- Strong understanding of desktop hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS), and networking concepts.
- Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) tools and desktop management software.
- Knowledge of software deployment, system migrations, and end-user computing solutions.
- **Project Management Skills**:
- Proficiency in project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or Scrum.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience using project management software (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Asana).
- **Communication Skills**: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams.
- **Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills**: Ability to anticipate project challenges, identify risks, and develop effective solutions.
- **Leadership Abilities**: Capable of leading teams, motivating members, and managing performance to achieve project goals.
Pay: ₹8,713.10 - ₹15,713.50 per month
