Consultant Desk is a leading consulting firm specializing in operational excellence, business growth, and Consumer Experience Architecture. We are currently assisting one of our clients in hiring a skilled Accountant to manage their financial operations in compliance with Indian regulations and tax laws.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Financial Reporting**:

- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- **Tax Compliance**:

- Ensure compliance with all applicable Indian tax laws, including GST, Income Tax, TDS, and other statutory requirements.
- Prepare and file accurate and timely GST returns, Income Tax returns, TDS returns, and other statutory filings.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants to ensure accurate and timely completion of audits and tax assessments.
- **Accounts Payable and Receivable**:

- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing, payment processing, and reconciliation.
- Monitor and reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow.
- **Regulatory Compliance**:

- Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and laws to ensure compliance.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
- **Financial Analysis**:

- Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data to improve business performance.
- **Documentation and Record-Keeping**:

- Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
- Ensure proper documentation of financial transactions and adherence to accounting policies.
- **Team Collaboration**:

- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Provide support and guidance to junior accounting staff as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CA/CPA qualification is preferred.
- Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in the Indian market.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks) and MS Office (particularly Excel).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
