**Job Title**: Junior Accountant

**Location**: Thane HQ

**Department**: Accounting/Finance

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and budgets.
- Perform general bookkeeping, including recording transactions and maintaining ledgers.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
- Assist in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions.
- Prepare and process invoices, payments, and expense reports.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with tax filings.
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Maintain financial records and documentation for audits.
- Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure accurate financial data.
- Stay updated with accounting standards and best practices.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- **Education**: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- **Experience**: 1-2 years of accounting or finance experience (internships included).
- **Technical Skills**: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Tally, or similar).
- **Analytical Skills**: Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- **Communication**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- **Organizational Skills**: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- **Knowledge of Accounting Standards**: Familiarity with GAAP, IFRS, or local accounting principles.
- **Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).**

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- CPA, ACCA, or other relevant certification (or in progress) is a plus.
- Experience in tax preparation or financial analysis is advantageous.
