The Spec Analytics Analyst is a developing professional role. Applies specialty area knowledge in monitoring, assessing, analyzing and/or evaluating processes and data. Identifies policy gaps and formulates policies. Interprets data and makes recommendations. Researches and interprets factual information. Identifies inconsistencies in data or results, defines business issues and formulates recommendations on policies, procedures or practices. Integrates established disciplinary knowledge within own specialty area with basic understanding of related industry practices. Good understanding of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing the objectives of the area. Develops working knowledge of industry practices and standards. Limited but direct impact on the business through the quality of the tasks/services provided. Impact of the job holder is restricted to own team.

- ** Analytic Project Execution** - Own and deliver multiple and complex analytic projects. This would require an understanding of business context, conversion of business problems in modeling, and implementing such solutions to create economic value.
- ** Business Knowledge**: Develop an understanding of the business. Understand and enhance business practices and processes.
- ** Statistical mind set** - Proficiency in basic statistics, hypothesis testing, segmentation, and predictive modeling.
- ** Stakeholder Management**: Experience in stakeholder management across various functions and regions.
- ** Presentation Skills**: Delivering high class presentations to share the thoughts, the solutions or the problem for business stakeholders and senior management
- ** Project Management **- Necessary skillset to manage project in terms of creating project plan, assigning responsibilities
- ** Teamwork**: Effectively contribute and add value to cross functional initiatives. Train and coach others in the organization. Seek to learn from other areas within the site to improve analytic approaches for the team.
- ** Communication**: Communicate and present effectively to partners and senior leadership
- ** Organizational Development**: Contribute to organizational initiatives in wide ranging areas including competency development, training, organizational building activities etc.
**Analytical Skills : Must Have**
- Hypothesis testing
- Proficient in Formulating Analytical methodology, identifying trends and patterns with data
- Experience in gathering data and establishing a proposal or business case to present a persuasive case in favor of an observed need for improvement
- Generate actionable Business Insights
- Ability to formulate and explain interactions between product features, offers and customer behavior using statistical and business driven methodologies
**Responsibilities**
We are a part of the broader North America Cards team providing strategic and analytical decision management support to nurture growth through enhanced customer experience. As Portfolio Analytics team, we support analytical functions across the US Consumer Business. Few notables among the multiple areas that we work in:
- New Product Development: Support new product development through relevant insights and recommendations focused on driving customer engagement and revenue
- Value Proposition Analytics: Impact of product features and marketing offers are established through rigorous analytical efforts to understand the shift in customer requirements and sentiments to enable recommendation of necessary changes to drive customer delight along with profitability
- Customer Segmentation: Develop segmentation through usage of various key business parameters by understanding the underlying core dynamics in Branded Cards
- Initiatives to meet Plan: Design and own multiple analytical interventions in the Branded Cards area to meet the year end goals
- P&L forecasting for ECM customers: Regular forecasts of Cards P&L at varied level of granularity to guide strategic budget and revenue planning
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 4 years of experience in data analytics, or Master’s Degree with 3 years of experience in data analytics
- Hands-on experience in SAS and SQL
- Experience working with large and multiple datasets, data warehouses and ability to pull data using relevant programs and coding.
- Experience in working on Credit Cards and Retail Banking products
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be organized, detail oriented, and adaptive to matrix work environment
- Ability to build partnerships with cross-functional teams
**Education**:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree or equivalent experience
