**R&D Data Scientist**:

You will be working as R&D Data Scientist and will be part of Process Automation Business Area for Energy Industries division in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to R&D Team Lead and will be responsible for contributing significantly to successful project results in technology, software, product or solution development as well as associated IP by identifying, proposing and implementing innovative solutions. Using unique technical knowledge to oversee development tasks. Acting as the first line contact in R&D or software development or product engineering for the specific product related issues and maintenance.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Understanding the use cases and key business requirements for data driven solutions in cooperation with ABB’s business divisions and end customers
- Performing data exploration, pre-processing, analysis and evaluation. Exploring and visualizing the data to gain an understanding of it and then identifying differences in data distribution that could affect performance when deploying the model in the real world
- Providing support for pilot evaluation of analytics solution, technology evaluation and productization of analytics led solutions

**Your background**:

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Data Science / Information Science
- Minimum 4 - 8 years of experience in usage of data analytics and machine learning libraries for monitoring, diagnosing and predictive maintenance and relevant data visualization tools
- Good knowledge of statistical analysis, machine learning (supervised and unsupervised learning techniques), deep learning, model optimization, time-series analysis, etc
- Experience with azure IoT or similar commercial or open source IoT platforms and should have proficiency in R and Python. Exposure to C#,.Net Core is added advantage. Having good knowledge and exposure to devops processes (CI/CD), dockers and containers
- Ability to communicate effectively in english with internal and external partners including academic community
