Job Description for Structure/Civil Design Engineer/Draftsman

(Solar/renewable sector)

ROLE:

- Structure/Civil Design Engineer (Solar)

Skills:

- Auto CAD, Structure designing, Solar Rooftop /Ground Mount

system designer, Staad Pro, Civil Designing.

Job Role:

-  Has experience in working with STAAD PRO & Auto CAD

 Has a minimum of 1 year of experience in designing solar

structures

 Civil engineering design and review process for the Solar Project,

including site layout, foundation design, structure design, Control

room design, road design, drainage systems, and other

infrastructure components.

 Review/Develop detailed engineering designs, specifications, and

construction drawings for civil works related to the solar power plant.

 Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to optimize site

selection and layout for maximum solar energy production.

 Collaborate with solar technology experts and electrical engineers to

integrate civil designs with solar panel arrays, inverters, and other

plant components.

 Manage the procurement process for civil materials and services,

ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality

standards.

 Review and evaluate contractor bids, proposals, and deliverable

related to civil engineering scope.

 Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to design

specifications, safety standards, and project schedules.

 Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and regulatory

authorities to obtain necessary permits and approvals.

 Conduct regular site inspections and assessments to identify and

address any design or construction issues.

 Has an excellent academic background and a complete

understanding of rooftop and ground-mount solar structures

 Can anticipate questions and provide answers as part of your

solution

 Manages your own workload and meet deadlines

 Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering;
 Experience in civil engineering with a focus on solar power projects

and EPC works.

 Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices related

to solar power plant design and construction.

 Experience in designing and reviewing solar power plant layouts,

foundations, and superstructure designs.

 Proficiency in relevant engineering software such as STAAD PRO,

AutoCAD etc.

 Familiarity with local and international codes, standards, and

regulations applicable to solar power projects.

 Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to

collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external

partners.

 Experience working on large-scale EPC projects, preferably in the

renewable energy sector.

Educational Background: B.E/B.Tech in Civil
