Job Description Summary:
The Finance Coordinator, India supports a broad range of Finance matters specific to CFA Institute’s India entity including accounting, financial planning and analysis, payroll, tax, and treasury. This role is responsible for the execution of financial controls, support for budgeting and reporting, and the operational details of external financial relationships.

The Finance Coordinator, India is based in Mumbai and reports to the Finance Manager, India.

**Job Description**:
As the Finance Coordinator, India you will have the opportunity to:
Treasury Responsibilities
- Forecast revenue, expenditures and cash flow for CFA IPL
- Support execution of funding, intercompany flow activity and services agreements
- Analyze local currency exposure and support the execution of risk mitigation
- Support and execute fraud-related controls

Accounting Responsibilities
- Support the information flow related to accruals, fixed assets, and leases to keep records updated as appropriate
- Support Audit by conducting in country monitoring/testing of financial controls for financial reporting according to local requirements and assisting in the execution and delivery of audit document requests (ADR), such as confirmations, and signatures on financial statements and engagement letters
- Assist with document retention per local requirements

Payroll and Tax responsibilities
- Support the global payroll team in the processing of India payroll and resolution of issues
- Assist global tax team and local operations teams in ensuring local tax compliance and reporting requirements are completed

Financial Planning & Analysis Responsibilities
- Support the India Finance Manager for management costing and coordinate efforts
- Supporting point of contact for financial performance analysis including budget variance analysis, reporting for regional leadership, and regional financial performance commentary for corporate/Board reporting
- General ad hoc support for India Finance Manager and wider Tax and International Finance team.

The skills and experience necessary for this role are:

- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- CPA preferred but not required
- Experience in project management, with skills necessary to interpret what is needed for the success of a project and to create appropriate schedules for timely delivery
- Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced office environment with hands on knowledge of cash and revenue management, tax, accounting, payroll, and/or financial planning and analysis
- Fluency in English required, excellent communication skills including written, verbal, listening, and presentation
- Experience in a multinational organizational preferred
- Knowledge and experience of financial markets and issues, ideally within the APAC region
- Excellent interpersonal skills including a professional and diplomatic demeanor
- Proficient using standard office software such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
