Teach courses in accountancy, financial accounting, managerial accounting, auditing, taxation, and accounting information systems.
- Develop and deliver course materials, including lectures, assignments, assessments, and other learning resources, that align with the curriculum and educational objectives.
- Provide academic guidance and support to students, including advising on course selection, academic planning, and career opportunities in the field of accountancy.
- Engage in scholarly research and publication activities in the area of accountancy, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the field and enhancing the reputation of the institution.
- Participate in departmental and institutional activities, such as curriculum development, assessment of student learning outcomes, faculty meetings, and academic committees.
- Stay current with developments in the field of accountancy, including changes in regulations, standards, and best practices, and incorporate relevant updates into course content and teaching methodologies.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation, critical thinking, and academic excellence.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the department and across disciplines to enhance interdisciplinary learning opportunities and promote academic excellence.
- Contribute to the accreditation process and other institutional initiatives aimed at maintaining and enhancing the quality of the accountancy program.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the department chair or academic administration.

Qualifications:

- Professional certification(s) such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CMA (Certified Management Accountant), preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in one or more areas of accountancy, such as financial reporting, auditing, taxation, or accounting information systems.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and the ability to foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience using instructional technologies and online learning platforms preferred.
- Ability to contribute to the academic and professional development of students through mentoring, advising, and experiential learning opportunities.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical conduct.
- Willingness to engage in continuous professional development and lifelong learning to stay current with developments in the field of accountancy.
