Academic Counselor

The **Academic Counselor** will be responsible for providing academic guidance and support to students at various levels of their academic careers. You will help students set and achieve academic goals, select appropriate courses, and provide assistance with academic planning and personal development. The role also involves identifying any academic or personal challenges students might face and providing the necessary support or resources to help them succeed.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Academic Guidance**: Advise students on academic planning, including course selection, degree requirements, and academic policies to ensure they stay on track to meet their educational goals.
- **Career Counseling**: Provide students with information and advice about career paths, internships, and job opportunities related to their field of study.
- **Individual Support**: Address academic challenges or personal difficulties that may impact students’ performance and suggest appropriate resources (e.g., tutoring, workshops, stress management).
- **Progress Monitoring**: Regularly review students' academic progress, and help students identify strengths and areas for improvement. Provide regular updates to faculty and staff regarding students who may need additional support.
- **Workshops & Seminars**: Conduct workshops and seminars on topics such as study skills, time management, exam preparation, stress management, and career development.
- **Crisis Intervention**: Identify students at risk of academic failure or personal crises and provide appropriate interventions or referrals to counseling services.
- **Orientation & Transition Support**: Assist new students with their academic transition into the institution by providing information, resources, and support to ease their integration.
- **Resource Coordination**: Connect students with academic resources such as tutors, peer mentors, or workshops, and help them understand how to utilize campus resources effectively.
- **Data Tracking**: Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions, progress, and recommendations. Prepare reports for faculty or administrators when required.
- **Academic Policy Communication**: Ensure that students are aware of academic policies, deadlines, and institutional guidelines to foster compliance and understanding.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with faculty members, student affairs, and other support services to address students' academic needs and to foster a collaborative approach to student success.
- **Student Advocacy**: Advocate for students’ academic needs and work to create a learning environment that fosters inclusivity, success, and well-being.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
