Academic Counselor

As an Academic Counselor, you will work closely with students, parents, and academic staff to provide counseling, advice, and support to help students navigate their academic journey, choose the right courses, plan their careers, and overcome personal or academic challenges.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Academic Guidance**:

- Provide one-on-one counseling to students to help them understand their educational options and choose suitable academic programs, courses, and electives based on their interests, strengths, and career goals.
- Assist students in setting academic and career goals, helping them map out a clear educational pathway.
- Evaluate students’ academic progress, identify potential issues, and develop action plans to ensure successful completion of academic programs.
- Advise students on study skills, time management, exam preparation, and academic performance improvement.
- **Career Counseling & Development**:

- Offer career counseling to help students identify potential career paths and the skills required to achieve them.
- Provide resources and guidance on internships, job placements, and networking opportunities.
- Conduct workshops and seminars on career development, resume building, interview preparation, and professional skills.
- **Personal Development & Support**:

- Provide emotional and psychological support to students who may face personal challenges that affect their academic performance.
- Offer advice and guidance on work-life balance, stress management, and general well-being.
- Assist students with personal issues, helping them connect with campus resources like counseling services or support groups.
- **Program Development & Coordination**:

- Collaborate with academic staff, faculty, and administration to design and implement effective counseling programs.
- Monitor and evaluate the success of academic programs and provide feedback to improve student engagement and outcomes.
- Help organize and promote orientation programs, career fairs, workshops, and extracurricular activities that support student development.
- **Record Keeping & Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate records of counseling sessions, student progress, and academic achievements.
- Track and document student performance and behavior, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy laws.
- Prepare reports on student progress, needs, and outcomes for faculty, administration, or accreditation purposes.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
