**Internship: Listener for Mental Health Counselling Services Startup**

Are you passionate about mental health and interested in making a positive impact in people's lives? Join our dynamic and rapidly growing startup in the mental health counselling service as a Listener intern.

As a Listener Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting our users by providing a compassionate and non-judgmental ear. You will engage in conversations with individuals who need to vent, express their feelings, or talk through their challenges. Your primary responsibility is to listen actively and empathetically, helping users feel heard and validated. This is an excellent opportunity for psychology students to gain practical experience in a supportive and professional environment. You are not supposed to provide any therapy at all, but you will guide them to a psychologist or psychiatrist on our platform as you may deeply understand what kind of help the person needs.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide active and empathetic listening to users who need to talk about their feelings and experiences.
- Maintain a supportive, non-judgmental, and confidential environment for users.
- Offer a calming presence and emotional support during conversations.
- Report any urgent or emergency situations to the appropriate channels as per our guidelines.
- Participate in regular supervision and training sessions to enhance listening skills and understanding of mental health issues.
- Adhere to all company policies and ethical guidelines regarding user interactions and confidentiality.

**Qualification**:

- Currently enrolled in a psychology program (undergraduate or graduate level).
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated ability to listen actively and empathetically.
- High level of emotional intelligence and patience.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines.
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet, private space for conducting conversations.
- Previous experience in a support or volunteer role is a plus, but not required.
