Job Title: Logistics Supervisor

Reports To: Logistics Manager / Operations Manager

Experience: 2-3 Years

Summary:
As a Logistics Supervisor you're responsible for overseeing and managing day-to-day logistics operations, ensuring the timely and efficient movement of goods from origin to destination. This role requires strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, as well as a thorough understanding of transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily logistics operations:
Plan and execute transportation schedules for inbound and outbound shipments.

Manage warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and picking/packing goods.

Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics providers.

Monitor shipment progress and proactively address any delays or issues.

Manage logistics team:
Supervise and mentor warehouse staff, drivers, and other logistics personnel.

Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide feedback.

Ensure employee safety and compliance with all relevant regulations.

Cost Control:
Negotiate rates with carriers and freight forwarders to minimize transportation costs.

Identify and implement cost-saving measures in all aspects of logistics operations.

Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and safety standards.

Maintain accurate documentation and records.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.

2-3 years of hands-on experience in logistics, transportation, or warehousing.

Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).

Experience with TMS and WMS software is a plus.

Strong understanding of transportation regulations and safety standards.
